Our Shared Concern

Our Shared Concern is an initiative arising from a growing appreciation our community is causing environmental degradation, putting at risk the future we wish for our children and this community. We need to start a community dialogue now to find solutions that will improve both our community's environment and its economic outlook. To establish a vision of our community's future that includes an ethic of stewardship for the natural world will not be easy. All levels of our community must participate - business, education, civic leaders and volunteers. And our spiritual leaders have a special role to play to help us question the values that underlie our society and to collectively face the difficult ethical decisions ahead.

If your organization would like a presentation from the Bert Miller Nature Club on this initiative, Species at Risk in Fort Erie, Climate Change, or any other environmental topic, please contact us.
